This project aims to document the history of displacement experienced by the people of Mais al-Jabal over the past hundred years, with a special focus on the events of the Al-Aqsa Flood War in 2023, when residents were forced to flee under heavy bombardment, leaving only the resistance fighters behind. It also follows how life gradually began to return, despite the destruction — a powerful expression of the people's resilience, their attachment to their land, and their unwavering right to return.
Documenting the repeated displacement of the people of Mais al-Jabal by collecting testimonies, photos, and records — shedding light on the human and psychological impact, while highlighting the will to resist and return despite the destruction.
This collective memory becomes a source of awareness and resistance.
